The Constitution came into effect on the 26th January

English Common Law. |
The Indians are widely represented by numerous
political parties. With coalitions at the center, regional parties have
gained popularity. |

The President of India is the Head of State and the
Commander in Chief for the Armed Forces. He is elected for a term of
five years. |
The Council of Ministers are appointed by the President
on the recommendation of the Prime Minister. It comprises of the Cabinet
Ministers, Ministers of State and Deputy Ministers. |
