United Western Bank was incorporated in 1936 and is one of the largest Indian Banks in Private Sector. The past of the Bank has seen a steady growth with prosperous present and promising future. The Head Office of the Bank is situated at Satara.

In the country United Western Bank has 230 branches spread over 47 districts in 9 states which is being controlled by five Zonal Offices at Mumbai, Pune, Kolhapur, Jalgaon and Nagpur.

The Bank acquired the status of a Scheduled Bank in 1951. In 1956, it merged with Union Bank of Kolhapur, in 1961 with Satara Swadeshi Commercial Bank Limited. In 1969, the Bank acquired status of 'B' class Bank and in 1947, 'A' class.

United Western Bank Credit Card

The Bank provides credit card to those individuals whose average annual income is more than Rs. 60,000/- and for corporate bodies it depends upon the nominated staff members of the Company. The annual membership fee is Rs. 300/- per annum. The privileges of the credit card are as follows:

Air travel insurance of Rs. 2 Lakhs
Emergency replacement of mutilated card.
Personal Accident Insurance of Rs. 1 Lakh.
Cash withdrawal up to Rs. 5,000 on 2 occasions in a month.
Accepted at over 1,00,000 establishments in India and Nepal.
Accepted for booking of Rail and Air travel tickets.
Automatic renewal after every two years.
Emergency payment of bills in selected hospitals and nursing homes.
Accepted for payment of subscription of various periodicals.
